1ST PRIZE OF THE COMPETITION FOR THE CONCEPTION OF THE PUBLIC SPACE OF QUARTIER KIEM PLATEAU KIRCHBERG, LUXEMBOURG.
PROAP, in a partnership with Amann-Canovas-Maruri Temperaturas Extremas Arquitectos S.L.P. studio, won the competition for the Kiem Quarter, at Luxemburg, promoted by the Fonds d’Urbanisation et d’Aménagement du Plateau de Kirchberg.
The proposal is based on the unique valorization of the existing ecosystems, articulating the space with the green urban system and embedding within the project the physical and biological processes that operate in that landscape.
The coexistence of the new built group with the processes and natural elements forces to organize a spatial strategy, formalized by the creation of distinguished centres that are characteristic to the newly proposed character, forming a coherent and fully harmonized space.
The open spaces with both public and private character respond either to the enclosed residential life or, within the space expansion, to the different dynamics of activities.
