The proposal consists of the construction of an exterior area, as an extension of the houses and the social life associated, forming an area for daily use or more intense punctual use. The space is basically composed of a central paved area, a landscaped border and spots with trees and bushes.
The physic demarcation of the space is obvious and performed by a bushy border, which hides the formal hedge and frames the social areas. Punctually there are planting boxes with small trees. The elevation of the paved area is imposed by a small swimming pool. Therefore, part of the area has a higher ground elevation than the entrance of the terrace; it is levelled with the elevation of the top of the swimming pool. In these cases the bushy border is beneath the paving elevation, and is detached in the landscape. In the areas where there is no swimming pool, the elevation is lower, almost the same elevation as the ground elevation, therefore the whole green border is a bit above that elevation, creating a more protected and cosy area. The chosen material for the paving is an agglomerate of concrete and wood, which will be used always with the same thickness on paving and vertical coatings of chimneys, planting boxes, benches and punctual elements.
